4 months away from blogging action!
Call me lazy = P Everytime when i wanna blog about something, i forget them easily.

So what has happened over the last four months?

Hmmm... been to Saigon for the Smart Selling 3 for a week. Spent the weekend there with mummy.

Picked up tennis as a new sport... played a new game (Left4dead2) and i think that's about it?

hmmmm and of cos, elodie is leaving singapore for good to be back home with Thomas at France.
Gonna miss her...

Well christmas is round the corner this week and that means pressie and more pressie to get for friends, colleagues and all.

Alrightz.. that about the main points which i am going to cover.

Smart Selling 3 @ Saigon
First and foremost, the traffic there was simply amazing! The usual traffic light rules does not apply there.
Once you reach the cross junction, breathe , close your eyes and just walk. The cars and the motorbikes (reminds me of the bicycles in China) will just swirl around you and they would always be able to judge and estimate in time to brake or proceed when they are near .

But i do enjoy the little shopping time that i had over at Saigon. Their flea markets and one of the small shopping centre (where they sell all fake items, sounds similar to beijing nah lol) does have some pretty cheap clothes. Of cos, bargaining as usual... I din exactly enjoy the Ben Thanh Market (Day) that everyone was raving about. They are simply showing your choppers at you when you shop there. The prices are crazy! But the night market at Ben Thanh was more of a reasonable sort.

Vietnamese Food is actually quite to my liking. The Beef Pho yummy yummy ! I actually do have craving for it at times . The soup is so tasty ... gives me the same craving like the noodles in Bangkok.

New Sport - Tennis
Yesh you heard me right. Picking up a new sport like after 8 years since the netball days! I dun have anymore "ball" sense in me = p I can't seems to be able to serve the ball right nor even catch it. Been playing with Samuel and his frens on the recent sundays and i am turning chow ta! i am now two shade darker than my usual skin tone.

Farewell to Elodie, but not good-bye
My best buddy at work thus far is leaving Singapore. It was a difficult choice for her to make on whether to stay independently or to leave with her bf, Thomas to work with her "Father-in-law". It's not going to be easy. Usually we have mother-in-law problems but for hers is the other way round. I really hope our frendship will cont'd to blossom unlike some other passerbys in my life (Okie something happen with another fren of mine). Elodie is someone very special who is almost like a twin sister to me. Our thoughts , our work attitude and all. But of cos we have our own differences as well. The past 1.5 years with her is simply amazing and she understands and reads me like almost an open book.

We had our farewell dinner at Uncle Leong's Seafood as she loves seafood. We had Chilli Crab which Samuel loves the most, Shimmering sand crab and Black Pepper Crab. The Shimmering sand crab is so good!! It was a mixture of creamy butter, cereals and curry leaves. So yummy.. We should have ordered more of the Shimmering crabs. Melben's queue was too long and apparently Samuel likes the chilli crab at uncle leong better ^^We went shopping for her farewell pressie and I hope she likes the lomography camera that we got for her = ) The photo effects are starting to get me hooked too.

Christmas Shopping
It's the time of the year again and this year my wallet is getting a bigger hole! Shopping for xmas pressie is a headache and recieving pressie are also taking a toil on me.i think i am going to stick to mainly chocolates to avoid disappointment for ppl and for myself = P

Not too long a post i hope = P

Teambuilding was fabulous. In my opinion, the committee really did a fantastic job for this 2nd teambuilding =) So far, this is the most enjoyable one of all for me. We had a small amazing race and the pit stop is Marina Bay Sands! The games played were hilarious. I would not forget the squirrel game lol (i am now the squirrel in the department !) Been a long time since i laugh so hard that my tears were uncontrollable. The "Have you ever" game was so funny in trying to get us to know one another better. It's shocking to hear that some ate roaches shit before! OMG!

I must say that the infinity pool is definitely an USP to the hotel. Swimming on the 57th floor and overlooking the whole of Cityhall, Parliament, CBD and Orchard Road. The view is simply breathtaking! It is truly a view not to be missed. We had a suite for our team building, therefore we were able to go up to the infinity pool for free! I don’t think its worth to pay 20 bucks to go up there as you won’t be able to use the swimming pool. Try getting their bed & breakfast deal at approximately 389 bucks instead. Guess what? The hotel has already made 1million from consumers paying the 20 bucks! That's 5 double cheeseburger meal for me dots dots dots.
It was pretty tiring when everything ended at 6.30pm. Some went home, some went to the casino and some head for dinner.

As for me? Elodie and I went for night swimming lol

I was pretty worried that the water would be too cold but infact it was quite warm. Not so sure if there was heater or there is just too much crowd in the pool = P There are water beds and "waterfall streams" for your enjoyment (that's free massage for me bleah = P )

One thing that will make me like a hotel room is the bathtub! I love the shape of the bathtub in their rooms and the amenities that they provided smells heavenly. I also love the rain shower in warm water hitting on my muscles. Oooo oooo... After bathing we slack on the couch watching "The matrix reloaded" showing on channel 5 (the remote control is quite bad though) I am so tired that i fell asleep towards the end of the show haha dozing in and out.

Samuel came to pick me up and he was drenched! It started to rain heavily just went he was about to reach mbs. No wonder it was so cold in the room. We waited at the lobby for the rain to stop before heading back home.

I know i am missing again!
I am simply just too lazy to blog = P

okie this blog is going to be about Universal Studios Singapore at Resort World and what I like and dislike most about it.
Thank God ! I have gotten 1 pair of free tickets to USS, otherwise my pocket will have one big hole burnt ! I went on a weekday and the adult ticket is already 66 bucks. Heard weekend is 72 ?

If you are heading down to USS soon, please do wake up early and be at the entrance by 9.30am and begin the fun at exactly 10am sharp! haha the effort in waking up early will ensure that you had time for all the shows and rides. (cos you need to match some show timings! I din noe abt that prior and keep thinking that the shows are on-going continuous)

In my opinion, it's fun to go but ain't fantastic. Perhaps it would have been better if the rollercoaster (Sci-Fi City) is open. Moreover, the rapid adventure was down for maintenance.. sad = ( I personally enjoyed Far Far Away (Shrek), Jurassic Park (Lost World) and the Mummies ! I was closing my eyes throughout the roller coaster ride at the "Revenge of the Mummies" Samuel enjoyed the ride the first time too ! (he had it twice) Hmmm.. if you are bringing kids, better if they are above 1.22m else most of the rides are not available to them. Queue was alright for me, ain't too long. some of my friends had to Q for 1hr ! so its good to go on a weekday, but not on mondays and fridays = P (others also know what's called long weekend ya)

The place is basically transformed! you will forget that you are right at Singapore. It's rather small in capcity but good enough to occupy you the whole day.
If you enjoy taking photos, this place is simply amazing. In fact, i took most photos at the area of NewYork and Hollywood. Madacasgar for me was so-so. Nuthin to shout about... one of the attraction is down too.

For the shows, waterworld, 4D for Shrek and the camera, lights, action are not to be missed! I din get to see the road parade either = ( only see those tall tall creatures from mummies and sci-fi. I wanna see KungFu panda and Shrek!

I love the vintage cars at "Mel's Drive Thru" but should not have eaten there (tot its nice but just alright) ... should have tried Goldilocks (fried chicken). I wanna go Hard Rock Cafe too... oh well perhaps next year !

I met up with Layee for a swim at the Hougang Swimming Pool. It’s been donkey years since I last stepped in there and I even forgot how to purchase the admission ticket =P But the deep pool is pretty dirty. Not sure is it because of the crowd and the kids learning their swimming classes that causes all these? There are like handy plaster, threads and even flies in the water OMG! Perhaps my next swimming trip will be at Yishun … heard from Samuel that the place is nice and equipped with Jacuzzi or if I were to go back to Hougang Swimming Complex….maybe in the morning (provided I can wake up!)

Oh well…. We did 10 laps and I am out of breath! I must start exercising more as I am losing my breath easily even just chasing after the bus.

Now I am aching all over after my cycling trip at Pulau Ubin on Sunday. Samuel and I met up with his friends at 9am.Yes u heard me right! It was so difficult to pull myself out of the bed but we did it =) The weather was good and there wasn’t any sign of rain. Phew!! It was supposed to be a leisure cycling trip that turned out to be not that leisure haha My Butt hurts big time going through the terrain Ouch!

Guess what? I crashed right into the bushes and grabbed onto a tree lol the slope is so steep and I did not manage to turn in time and Ploop down I go. Lucky there aren’t any bruises but there was an insect that keep stinging me! eeeWWW lucky not bee sting but I have no idea what insect was that... Got a bit of tan since I returned and nobody actually notices that I am darker than usual…. Dots …

Overall I still enjoyed myself a lot during the cycling trip = ) especially with the company of Samuel. Guess more cycling trip will be organized.

Bar Bar Black Sheep have you any wool?

Yup yup the café restaurant is named Bar Bar Black Sheep! It served Western, Thai and Indian Cuisine. Good venue to hang out if you like alfresco dining by the Singapore River. It’s a bit off the main road and if you are driving then it might pose a problem. However, the food there is worth the try! Yummylicious and the portion of the food are relatively huge. Pricing wise is pretty reasonable and there’s no GST or Service charge to it. But yet you don’t have to queue for food, they will serve it to you. Just Queue to order and sit back at your table to wait for the food. Remember if you are ordering curries; please order white rice because it does not come with it. The western food is so good!! I love my char-grilled chicken. Tender and Juicy for every bite till the very end.

It’s almost 2 years since I last met the girls of TP and we had a good time chatting and updating each other lives. Some of girls have changes their career path and it seems like I am the only one left in the hospitality industry among them. Some went in to teaching, logistics and even architecture. However it’s good that some other friends are still in it like Zhenqiang in Guy Savoy = ) I am happy to receive news that Jac and Zhengqiang are engaged! I think they are the only couple that lasted from poly years till now. Hooray!!

Damier Ebene Neverfull MM is here!!

From France to Russia to France to Indonesia and then finally Singapore! Thanks to my dear Elodie =) she refuse to carry the bag despite me telling her to do so. She carried it in the big LV paperbag and the LV box and presented to me the same way you would have gotten it at the shop! So Sweet of her and I Love her big time!

I was comtemplating which model to choose and finally decided on the original neverfall in daimer. I know it's a very common bag to see as you walk down Orchard Road. In my opinion, buying a bag has alot of considerations! It's not about showing them off like some people do... I feel that you should always consider whether the bag suits your needs and and your personality!

I am glad that Neverfull is a perfect fit for me and I am in love it~

A very interesting topic that was discussed over morning briefing today.

a wedding event scheduled in the later part of the year was called off (that means i dun have to standby to be a waitress too = P, it was an outside catering ) okie back to the topic.... well that's not the main issue as that happens alot when i was in catering sales.

indeed, if the couple is not suitable for each other... it would be better to call off the wedding then to go through it. Here comes the interesting part, one of the colleague shared that she had a girlfriend who was dating a man for 10 years. They have bought the flat, furniture, signed up for wedding banquet etc and one month prior to the wedding she called it off... well my colleague says that the girlfriends find that after 10 years everything would still be the same even after the marriage so there isn't a need and decided to break off....now that's the puzzling part for me...

i can understand that perhaps nuthin major would change after 10 years of dating but was there a need to break off? and my colleague says there wasn;t any 3rd party..... that's indeed strange. was she expecting a marriage to last for only 10 or 20 years? if she was expecting excitement... wouldn't that has dawn on her much earlier and not only when all the nitty gritty details are settled?

Well i guess everyone has a different stand in this viewpoint of "love"

once again, to me.... love isn't complicated ... but the people involved makes it complicated.
call me idealistic or whatsoever.... to me, a marriage is to last for a lifetime and most importantly... it must be with the right person.

Some ppl need friends to wayang and pity them
Some ppl need friends who bitch together with them
Some ppl need friends who points out reason to them

So what kind of friends do you need in ur life?

12:00 PM

I am now not only looking forward to weekends but also looking forward to Samuel's off day = )

Getting a bit frustrated with a particular website as it takes me literally half a day just to load one episode of "Yang Gui Mei Mi Shi" Arghhh i wanna watch it fast so that i can move on to the next show of "The Myth" That's another 50 episode!

I need to find my goggles as I wanna go back to swimming. Bought a swimming costume not too long ago and yes! it's not bikini ! i will wear that for sentosa but not to the swimming pool when i really wanna do my laps. Hmmm... when shall i start jogging? soon i guess... i can't even run after a bus now as i will keep panting.. =(
